Having trouble with Chirps? Get in touch.

How to Get Help Fast

Including the right information in your first message avoids back-and-forth and lets me diagnose the issue immediately.

Step 1 — Copy the diagnostic log In Chirps, open Settings → tap the copy button at the bottom of the settings panel. This copies the app’s diagnostic log to your clipboard. Paste it directly into your email.

Step 2 — Device details Include your device model (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Air M2) and iOS version. Find this at iOS Settings → General → About.

Step 3 — Microphone details If you are using an external microphone or audio interface: include the make and model, and a link to the manufacturer’s product page or datasheet if available. If you are using the built-in microphone, just say so.

Step 4 — Describe what happened Describe what you were doing, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened. Note whether the issue is reproducible every time or intermittent.

Step 5 — Screenshots or screen recordings If the issue is visual (display artefacts, layout problems, unexpected behaviour in the spectrogram), a screenshot or screen recording is useful.
